SharePoint 2010 Blogs Customisation

I was trying to apply custom master pages to the blog sites.

Copied the custom master page which I used for the main site over to the blog site via SPD. Right clicked on it to set as both Default Master Page and Custom Master Page.

Worked on the blog’s default page but also effected the system admin page.

From this post, it seems that it doesn’t have a fix for it.

Transparent Menu when using CQWP(Bug in IE9 32bit)

When adding a CQWP to a SharePoint 2010 publishing site page, it makes the site actions menu and other menus(e.g. web part editing menu) transparent.

The problem:
This only happens on IE9 32 bit, IE9 64bit and other versions are fine.

Fix:
Add the following css to your custom css file:
div.ms-MenuUIPopupInner ul{ background-color:#fff; }
